This company is a textbook example of toxic workplace culture hiding behind the banner of “Japanese values.” In reality, those values are used to justify oppressive rules, fear-based management, and the dehumanization of employees.
Serious red flags include:
- Extremely late salary disbursements, often without communication.
- Unrealistic rules designed to suppress basic freedoms — employees are treated more like machines than people.
- No clear growth path, no recognition, and no effort from management to support employee development.
The worst part, however, is the management behavior.
The CEO, Hamamoto-san, is known for arbitrary terminations, even firing people just for talking casually at work.
Mirajul Islam, a former head of engineering, has a deeply troubling history. Allegations include sexual harassment of unmarried female employees, demanding “personal favors” via WhatsApp and Messenger. Several female staff have left due to his behavior — and yet, he still holds a position of power.
Despite attempts by a few defenders to praise his technical skills, no ability can excuse abusive, unethical conduct. Claiming that others are jealous of his “success” is a weak deflection from the real harm done.
Bottom line:If you care about respect, fair treatment, timely pay, or basic professionalism, stay far away from this company. Especially as a female professional — this is not a safe environment.
